The Caves of Nerja

1 Km. from The Caves of Nerja, an amazing natural phenomenon geologically formed over the last 5 million years.

You can visit halls in the low galleries, Entrance Hall, Creche Hall, Ballet Hall, Elephant Eye-Tooth Hall, Phantoms Hall and Cataclysm Hall. The Centre of Interpretation provides information to complement the visit.

Maro Cliffs and Cerro Gordo Natural Park

12 Kms. of ecologically protected coast line with special emphasis on the sea bed with a large variety of flora and fauna.

This area has a series of maravellously unspoilt coves and beaches (no cars allowed ) with crystalline water where the tourist apartments and hotels cannot flourish. “Las Alberquillas”, “La Cala del Pino”, “El Cañuelo” (with summer minibus service) and others, guarded by the round Watch Towers of the XVII century.

Nerja

Maro

Maro Village, named Detunda in the Roman period, beautifully situated old white andalusian town 3Km. from Nerja; The seventeenth century Church of “Las Maravillas” and panoramic views over the Natural Park.

Frigiliana

Frigiliana old white moorish town 6 Kms. north of Nerja with surprising pathways full of light and flowers.

La Alhambra. Granada

La Alhambra de Granada: the most magnificent specimen of Moorish arquitecture of the middle ages where the monarch and court of the kingdom of Granada resided. The exceptional arab interiors and the palace of Charles the 5th of Spain are an obligatory visit.
